    Position title: Chief of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at UCLA Stein Eye
    Salary range: The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html ) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5/Scale 7. The salary range for this position is $134,700 - $411,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf ), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

    Position description

    The Stein Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology invite applications for faculty to function as Chief of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Division at UCLA. The final candidate will also be recommended for appointment as the James Shuler Family Chair in Ophthalmology, an administrative endowed chair in the Department of Ophthalmology.

    Applicants should be dedicated to teaching, exemplary patient care, professional activities, and have a record of creative contributions to administrative, academic or research activities.

    Candidates are expected to oversee the administration of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Division and be actively engaged in service to the University and to the profession.

    Qualifications
    Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    Doctorate degree in medicine or equivalent (M.D.)

    Postgraduate residency training in ophthalmology.

    Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology.
