Shift: Full -Time - 40 hrs.Days, evenings, (depending on availability) (Occasional on-call and rotating weekends may be required)

Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Lennar Medical Foundation Center - Coral Gables

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                                     

  • Searches for abnormalities in blood flow sounds, heart rhythm, oxygen saturation, and the appearance of the heart.
  • Positions patients and explains procedures.
  • Oversees and ensures quality control functions.
  • Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality. Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques.
  • Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
  • Oversees the maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
  • Facilitates training to new and student cardiac ultrasound technologists.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
