Job Summary/Basic Function

Act as mentor to undergraduate students in CHHS on academic probation.

Job Duties


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Help with recruiting events: Preview Days, Admitted Students Days, CHHS events for high school and middle school students.  
  • Meet with Probation students at least monthly.  
  • Help develop programming (e.g., digital newsletters, infographics, short videos) for students at risk academically and implement programming.  
  • Tutoring/mentoring, especially for students on probation.  
  • Follow up with students at risk academically after interim grades are posted.  
  • Assist academic advisors with evaluations for graduate school pre-requisites.  
  • Special projects based upon career goals of the GAs.  
  • Attend monthly meetings with the CHHS Student Success team.  
  • Attend Dean’s Student advisory group.  
  • Meet with advisor supervisor (every 1 to 2 weeks).  
  • Social media: communicate, recruit, disseminate important information to students, help generate other means to reach students.  
  • Complete required documentation and participate in program evaluation.
