Job Summary/Basic Function

A Teaching Assistant will assist a faculty instructor in the chemistry teaching laboratory, including with the grading to lab reports and exams.

Job Duties


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Teaching Assistant will (i) meet with the instructor prior to the laboratory period to review experimental procedures and safety considerations, (ii) attend the pre-lab lecture at the start of the laboratory period, (iii) provide assistance to students as needed during the laboratory period, (iv) grade lab reports and exams as directed by the faculty instructor, and (v) submit grades and graded reports and exams to the instructor.
