Position Details
The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors for non-majors chemistry.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Teach one or more non-majors chemistry lecture sections meeting 4-hours per week for a semester. The lecture textbook will be selected by the chemistry faculty.
2. Assist students both in and out of the classroom.
3. Create syllabus each semester using guidelines provided by department.
4. Provide office hours for students.
5. Write, proctor and grade examinations.
6. Manage online learning management system (Blackboard).
The successful candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or a related field or equivalent will be considered, but a graduate degree in chemistry or a related field will be given preference.
2. Experience teaching non-majors chemistry preferred.
