Since its founding in 1881, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry has been a pioneer in dental education, clinical practice, scientific discovery and public health. Part of UCSF, the preeminent university focused singularly on the health sciences, it is recognized as one of the world’s leading dental schools. UCSF and the School of Dentistry pride itself in a diverse and inclusive culture that attracts the highest calibre faculty, staff, students and trainees.

UCSF School of Dentistry seeks an outstanding leader to chair the Department of Orofacial Sciences. Several clinical disciplines comprise this Department including Craniofacial Anomalies, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontology. Cross-disciplinary clinical, teaching and research activities characterize this Department, which benefits from strong interactions within the Dental School, other campus Schools and the Medical Center.
