The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides nursing staff support in the areas of patient care delivery, clerical functions, and organization of the unit environment, as well as set-up and maintenance of equipment.The emphasis on each of these areas will depend on the unit assigned.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant Program Minimum Experience/Knowledge: Minimum of two (2) year current experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant preferred Required License/Certification: Current California Certified Nurse Assistant License. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card from the American Heart Association. AB 508 Certification (except Perinatal units).
