Position Focus:

The Wu Tsai Institute at Yale University is a university-wide initiative that seeks to understand human cognition— how we perceive, think, remember, and decide — by integrating psychology, biology, data science, and other disciplines. The Institute is based at 100 College Street and contains three research centers and associated core facilities. The new role coordinates programs for the Center for Neurocognition and Behavior aimed at promoting and enabling research- and outreach-related activities. The coordinator will work alongside and under the supervision of the Center Director.

Participate in all aspects of the lifecycle of Center programming: identify strategy and goals, design the activities in support of those objectives, handle budgets and financial transactions, support logistics and guest travel, publicize and run activities, examine outcomes of events, provide written and visual summaries. Develop, manage, and share center processes.

Plan and facilitate scientific convenings, user group trainings, collaboration workshops, external speakers and related activities; develop and run outreach activities; assemble multi-investigator grant submissions; and advance industry partnerships.

Maintain a high degree of knowledge of the research landscape to better shape program priorities to target audiences. Manage internal and external communication channels: disseminate research results and impacts to specialized and broad audiences, update and manage records of research activities across digital platforms, support editorial work for professional and scientific documents, guide internal communication among researchers; share Center-affiliated research findings with local and national stakeholders, including community groups, industry partners, and government officials.

Supervise student workers and postgraduate associates involved in center and BrainWorks activities. Serve as a liaison between the center and the Wu Tsai Institute, ensuring strategic alignment and resource allocation by working with Institute leadership, as well as with individuals and teams in communications, operations, and events. Other responsibilities as assigned. Candidates who provide a cover letter will be given priority consideration.
