CDL Shuttle Driver, Temporary
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: CDL Shuttle Driver in the Department of Transportation Services.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Operating University vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations and laws as well as University policies and procedures.
· Performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
· Driving shuttle routes or over the road bus trips.
· Record keeping for fuel, mileage and work request for service to vehicles.
· Basic cleaning and servicing of vehicles.
· Occasionally driving Motor Coaches, Mini-Buses, trucks, cars and Vans on trips.
· Maintaining and wearing properly assigned uniform while on duty.
· Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Class A or B commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement and a U.S. Department of Transportation medical card are also required. A successful candidate must pass a background check, drug screening, and submit to future random drug screenings.

Equipment Operator III (KD45/ TP0578/ NS01150P), part-time temporary position, 25 hours a week. SC State Pay Band: 03. Salary range: $26,385.00 (minimum) – $37,605.00 (midpoint). Normal work days and hours vary. May be required to work some weekends. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required Qualifications
Class A or B commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Possess U.S. Dept. of Transportation medical card. High School Graduate or GED.
