Position Focus:

The Associate supports the delivery of a world class online program for working professionals to accelerate the deployment of clean energy (https://cbey.yale.edu/certificate). Your role is (i) to create a flawless, enriching, and nurturing experience for participants, (ii) to foster the network engagement with a bias towards action, and (iii) to support a cohesive and empathetic approach to team management with the Online Programs Delivery Manager (OPDM), including faculty, administrative staff, and teaching assistants.

Program delivery and operations: Manage the online courses delivery process in collaboration with the OPDM, faculty, teaching assistants, and others to create and promote a rewarding and enriching experience for a diverse group of about 120-160 clean energy professionals. Serve as the first point of contact for professional online cohorts in clean energy. Take charge of outbound communications to the cohorts, including weekly and special announcements as well as the promotion of special events and/or news, in the CBEY voice, i.e., informed but whimsical. Publish existing course material on a weekly basis using the existing delivery processes created and documented by CBEY, including clarifying of course material (lecture, assignment, answer explanations). Perform quality control and testing of online modules before and after publishing (e.g., links, quizzes, solutions to assignments etc.). Monitor online forums and make sure participants have a rich experience and interact in a respectful manner, collaborating with other staff and teaching assistants to promote engagement and discussion. Plan and deliver live sessions with faculty and/or guest experts recruited to participate on a weekly basis, as well as support and/or organize the delivery of other online events for the cohorts (careers, content, socials, etc.). Support the design, coordination and facilitation of special events, like one annual one-week long in-person program for cohorts of 120-160 participants (public health permitting) and/or an online orientation week.

Curriculum redesign: Work closely with CBEY staff and faculty to update content and exercises, ensure cohesion between courses, outline critical skills and knowledge outcomes, and develop metrics.

Content production management: Participate in faculty and expert outreach, including coordination of curriculum development activities and video production with faculty members and guest experts, with Yale Departments, including hands-on work with the team’s producers. Produce course pages in our online learning management platform.

Program administration: Coordinate with staff from YSE and SOM to support the administrative side of this effort such as recruiting, participants admissions, matriculation, alumni affairs, and other services.
