Summary of Job Duties:
The Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab RN will provide direct patient care as a RN in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab and Structural Lab. In this role physical care will be provided in the prep, intra procedure and post procedure care of patients. Intra procedure care includes administering moderate sedation and patient monitoring. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff.

Cardiac cath lab/electrophysiology:
• In coordination with physician provide moderate sedation for cath lab procedures.
• Assist Anesthesia with patient care during procedures
• Communicates clearly and concisely with treatment team
• Assist physician/radiology technologist with supplies during procedures, scrubbing in to cases as needed.
• Provide thorough procedure report to recovery nurse.
Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The Nurse will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans within Prep and Recovery and Cath Lab/Electrophysiology Lab.
