Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking Catering Servers for Dining Services Catering Team. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Operates within Rutgers University Dining Services Catering team and ensures exemplary guest service through all forms of service including carving stations, bartending, running food during events, etc. Replenishes products and supplies in compliance with event standards. Ensures events are properly equipped and executed by transporting, pulling, setting up and breaking down, and returning equipment to designated storage areas in compliance with event standards and instructions. Provides support to present a clean and safe work environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hours Per Week	10-20 based on number of events
Daily Work Shift	Rotating
Work Arrangement	This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
FLSA	Nonexempt
Position Salary	$22.00 per hour

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	For entry-level positions, no experience is required.
Certifications/Licenses	Must possess a valid driver’s license and two years of driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications	Previous experience in catering and/or fine dining environment strongly desired.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Requires communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively respond to customer inquires or complaints. Must have a friendly, service -oriented demeanor and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced; stressful environment.
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment	Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull food and beverage items, and catering equipment up to 50 lbs. Must have access to reliable transport, some travel is required to campus-wide events.
Special Conditions	Some evening and weekend hours are require; must be willing to work with a varying/flexible schedule based on catering business fluctuations.
