The Cognitive Neuropsychology Laboratory (CNL) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of investigators, post-doctoral fellows, and students using psychophysics, EEG, and MRI to study attention, auditory and visual perception, multisensory processing, and executive function, in typical and clinical populations. It is our goal to make significant advances in understanding these processes with the use of cutting edge methodologies and data analytic techniques. In turn, we seek to apply this understanding to explore the processing deficits underlying clinical and developmental disorders such as autism, schizophrenia, and drug addiction.

Part of the CNL is the Human Clinical Phenotyping Core (HCP) which serves to promote excellence in human phenotyping and to provide outstanding training in clinical evaluation. The HCP is a fully acting Core of the NIH funded IDDRC whose mission is to advance diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with developmental disabilities with an emphasis on increasing diversity and representation of minorities in research. The HCP provides targeted human phenotyping in order to build an extensive database of enrolled children, young adults and families.
