The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks two CES Case Writing Fellows to work with entrepreneurial faculty to develop new cases for graduate-level entrepreneurial courses.  The Case Fellows research and interview leaders of startup and high growth companies, partner with faculty to develop a case about the company that drives key learning goals and write and refine the cases and relevant study questions.  Case Fellows also grade for some graduate level business school courses.  Case Fellows participate in processes to identify leaders who bring aspects of diversity into the classroom as potential case protagonists.

Case Fellows deepen their own learning about entrepreneurship and leadership while developing critical learning tools for the graduate business curriculum.  They have the opportunity to work with faculty and build knowledge about how curriculum is created to meet teaching objectives.  They have the opportunity to learn from C-level leaders in startup and growing companies. 

Please Note: This position is hybrid with an average of three days on-site work at the Stanford GSB campus.


To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.  
  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization (entrepreneurship).
  • Ability to oversee and direct staff.
  • Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans. 

In addition, preferred requirements include:

  • Very strong preference given to candidates who are recent (1-5 years) Stanford MBA or MSx graduates who took multiple entrepreneurial courses during their educational experience, thus having familiarity with Stanford Graduate School of Business’ recent entrepreneurial curriculum.
  • Outstanding demonstrated writing ability
  • Ability to skillfully conduct interviews to gather insights and information
  • Strong academic record
  • Solid financial skills and good understanding of how to read and interpret financial statements
  • Ability to work independently to deliver high quality results extremely reliably.  
  • Success in one or more entrepreneurship courses

The expected pay range for this position is $95,000 - $132,000 per annum.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
