Job Summary
The Center for Community Outreach and Applied Research is accepting applications for a Career Specialist – Non-Custodial Parent. This position is available in Greene County.
The position offers career and case management services to non-custodial parents, with a focus on collaboration with Child Enforcement. It provides support to employers in the hiring process and maintains client records in a centralized database. The role integrates services for job seekers, employers, and other service providers within the American Job Center. Additionally, the position involves court attendance and receiving referrals from Child Support Magistrates/Judges or Child Support Enforcement.

Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) of experience working in a social service program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
  • Familiarity with the DHS ACCENT system
  • Familiarity with One-Stop Career Centers and their services.
  • Understanding of local employers and job markets.
  • Familiarity with educational and training sites and their admission requirements.

The position will begin in June, 2024 and is contingent on grant funding. Follows the State of Tennessee holiday and inclement weather policies. All annual leave must be fully expended upon the termination of the grant or upon exiting the University. No annual leave will be paid out. Official transcripts may be required upon hire.
