CARB-X has an unparalleled opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in the role of Communications Manager. CARB-X accelerates the pre-clinical development of products to address antibiotic resistance, including drugs, vaccines and diagnostics. The scope of CARB-X includes soliciting applications for funding by us to external organizations, evaluating applications, granting awards, supporting awardees, and monitoring progress. Additionally, we fundraise ourselves and are supported by governments and foundations around the world. CARB-X has built a global reputation for scientific excellence and our brand represents a compelling endorsement to other investors and drug development partners. Communicating our work entails extensive coordination internally, amongst our many partners, and publicly. The Communications Manager is the face of CARB-X communications the single point of contact for all on content creation, promotion and public relations. They work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Development and External Engagement to set annual communications goals, strategize methods to garner positive coverage, and ultimately continue to strengthen our brand, supporting the CARB-X mission. Remote or hybrid work will be considered.


  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience. Direct experience may substitute for educational requirement.
  • Must have directly relevant experience creating and using digital platform content.
  • Demonstrated experience creating high-quality written materials for public dissemination required.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the drug development and antimicrobial resistance space is preferred.
