Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a Campus Visit Coordinator! Working under the director of the Assistant Director, Ambassador Program (PSS), this position coordinates the campus visit experience for targeted markets identified as potential prospects for the university, including scheduling large group campus tours, training campus tour guides, answering admissions-related questions, and providing presentations to campus guests. Assists the Assistant Director in the management of the Ambassador Program.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Duties included with Ambassador Program management: managing the Program Course through Microsoft Teams, planning and delivering program wide trainings, planning and executing events in coordination with the Admissions and Recruitment teams. 
  • Represent the University in a positive and professional manner to a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the University, including prospective students and parents through coordinating campus visits and tours, answering admissions related questions, and providing details about the University, both over the phone and through email. Acts as the primary point of contact for all campus tours. 
  • Train campus tour guides on presentation and tour route. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Ambassador Managers and Admissions Counselors coordinating events and campus tours. 
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Director to effectively meet the needs of prospective students utilizing the Ambassadors. 
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and two years professional experience in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Utah Valley University and admissions practices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of specific applications used by the University and the Office of Admissions a plus (Eventbrite, Recruit, OrgSync, 25Live).
  • Well-organized, accurate, effective, and creative multi-tasker, time-manager, and problem-solver who is customer service-oriented and pays attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once, coordinating across departments to meet deadlines and provide deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies in a large, fast-paced, professional work environment.
  • Ability to present clear and accurate information to small and large groups of diverse populations.
