Summary of Duties:
The Division of Student Affairs is committed to student success and ensuring equitable opportunities and outcomes for all students by closing racial and gender gaps where they exist. The Campus Registrar supports this commitment by providing strategic leadership and overall management of Registrar and related functions. This includes the supervision of departmental staff, development and implementation of policy/procedures, conducting department assessment and evaluation, and participation in strategic planning. This position is also responsible for scheduling oversight for the WSU Spokane campus which includes supervision of the scheduling team, use of the 25Live room scheduling system and campus space management and utilization. Additionally, this position has responsibilities related to FERPA compliance, and maintaining partnerships with WSU - system colleagues.
This position is responsible for the implementation and management of registration functions at WSU Spokane, with respect to student information systems and includes collaboration with Institutional Research to develop and validate official University reports including census, enrollment and advising reports.
The Campus Registrar directs the publication and maintenance of the online WSU Spokane academic catalog and the production of each term's schedule and classroom assignments in conjunction with Pullman Registrar's Office, the Graduate School, Faculty Senate, and Colleges of Nursing, Medicine, and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition, this position directs the use of all classroom spaces, common areas, and auditoria.
In collaboration with campus event management staff, the Campus Registrar is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the annual commencement ceremony.

Required Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification.
Additional Requirements:

  • Four years of experience providing and/or overseeing activities related to student services in higher education such as student registration, enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, outreach, recruitment, and/or retention.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA regulations and ability to interpret and apply other federal, state, local, and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities with a record of collaborative involvement with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee supervision and development.
  • Experience scheduling and prioritizing workload, including the workload of others.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer software skills, including the ability to use office and online software such as databases, spreadsheets, and word processing, including MS Office Suite.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in query design and analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience working in a multi-campus environment.

Monthly Salary: $4,942.10 - $7,569.55; commensurate with qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
