The Campus Recruiting Coordinator is a full-time, visible resource to Cornell Tech graduate and professional students. This role will be an integral part of the team with the focus on ensuring effective and efficient operations and student career support. This position reports to the Senior Director of Career Management at Cornell Tech
The Career Management Team at Cornell Tech supports the needs of the entire student body and alumni (career guidance) with the exception of PhD students and LLMs (though current LLM students are included in the on and off campus events).
This is a full-time position with excellent Cornell University benefits. It is expected that this position will be primarily working in-person on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City with some flexibility for a hybrid remote work schedule.

   

The  responsibilities for this role include:

Operations (50%)

  • Participate in planning of all career management programming for the population in scope. Responsible for scheduling and execution of all career events and related activities.

  • Coordinate with Cornell Tech teams such as Student Services & Academic Affairs, Alumni Affairs and Development and Studio to ensure alignment on events scheduling and updates of employer contact information. Collaborate with Cornell University teams in Ithaca (where appropriate) on employer engagement, outreach, visits, etc.

  • Maintain career management platform including job and events posting,updates to group membership, employer platform interaction and student participation. Work with the vendor to execute updates/improvements as needed.

Employer and Alumni support (30%) 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employers for all on-campus events; liaise with facilities and other stakeholders on event execution.

  • Manage execution of the alumni mock interview program for current students.

  • Maintain, update and enhance Cornell Tech alumni database

  • Develop periodic alumni career focused communications to ensure alumni have access to resources. 

Student support (10%) 

  • Assist with developing career management materials for student presentations.

  • Conduct student resume reviews and provide assessment of student’s needs and general career guidance.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for student questions; address or direct questions to appropriate team members.

Analytics and reporting (10%)

  • Manage collection of placement data by designing and conducting  employment surveys.

  • Support data analysis and reporting of student career outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2- 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with MS Excel

  • Demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment are required.

  • Available occasionally for student events outside of business hours.
