Position Purpose
Assist with the coordination of events held on the University of Central Missouri campus. 
 
Monitor events as they take place by checking in with client and resolving any concerns. 
 
Communicate clients needs to service centers in order to ensure event needs are met. 
 
Unlock and check rooms before an event to ensure everything is set according to the confirmation. Check rooms after the event is over to ensure everything has been returned to order, AV equipment is turned off, and secure the space. 
 
Assist clients with any additional needs they may have for scheduled events. 
 
Greet clients upon arrival, directing them to appropriate rooms and offering assistance. 
 
Act as a resource for students, staff, and guests while enforcing University policies. 
 
Utilize University scheduling software system (25 Live). Process incoming events, generate reports, and act as a resource for users. 
 
Carry MACS cell phone and respond promptly to all communications. 
 
Work front desk shifts. Duties include, but are not limited to answering the office phone, address client questions, trouble shoot concerns, making event folders, etc. 
 
Attend scheduled staff and training meetings. 
 
Complete a shift report noting incidences, questions, or problems that occur during the shift. 
 
Read, understand, and continue to learn all operations and procedures required of a Campus Event Manager. 
 
Will work evenings and weekend shifts. 
 
Other duties as assigned.

Experience
Must be … 
 
A student at the University of Central Missouri, enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 2.5 points. 
 
Able to work weekdays as well as weekends. 
 
Able to communicate effectively with general public and staff, both verbally and in writing. 
 
Able to work independently and accomplish responsibilities with limited on-site supervision. 
 
Complete a background check.
