The Opportunity:

The Campus Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions supports WSU Global Campus’ commitment to student success and ensuring equitable opportunities and outcomes for all students. Reporting to the Global Campus Director of Enrollment Management Operations, the Campus Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions provides overall leadership and supervision and implementation of recruitment and manages the partnership with the WSU Office of Admissions. The position implements strategies in coordination with WSU system associates to support enrollment growth. The Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions develops proactive and nimble strategies for effective recruitment of non-traditional students. The position is responsible for personnel management of a recruiting and admissions team of administrative professional staff. Travel, evening, and weekend work required.

This is a remote/telework position.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities (e.g. socioeconomic status, first-generation students, and underrepresented populations).

  • Successful track record of leadership in admissions/recruitment operations to meet enrollment goals.

  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness with strategic planning and program development.

  • Experience effectively using data for analysis and assessment for development of recruitment strategy.

  • Documented effective management experience and staff supervision.

  • Demonstrated experience with contemporary knowledge of recruitment technology and its application to admissions/enrollment best practices, including familiarity with CRM systems.

  • Experience marketing higher education to a wide array of constituent groups reflecting university dynamics and populations.

This is a remote/telework position with the successful candidate needing to meet WSU's technical system requirements for working remotely. Telework positions will require signing a telework agreement. Minimum technical requirements include an internet bandwidth of 4.0 Mbps for upload and download. Monthly Salary: $5,485.73 - $7,670.75 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
