This individual will serve as the lead for all overnight camps and conferences during the summer months.

Duties and Tasks:

The Camps and Conferences Summer RA will act as the liaison between the Camps, Conferences, and Events department and the Residence Life department. Tasks include but are not limited to assisting Residence Life with getting keys and cards ready before guest’s arrival, doing room condition reports before and after the stay, handing out and collecting keys/cards, getting the appropriate paperwork signed and completed during check-ins and check-outs, handling all issues, and lockouts during their stay. You will also assist with entering work orders for the events and any issues with Facilities Management, help with setting up rooms for groups, and break them down afterward.

Various projects will be assigned during downtimes from camps, conferences, and events.

REQUIRED Qualifications, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Qualifications:

  • Saint Leo student living on campus for the summer preferred.
  • One year of experience as a Resident Assistant.

Skills:

  • Dependable, ability to prioritize and organize, multi-task, problem solver, creative thinker, outgoing, reliable, punctual, willingness and ability to take charge.

Abilities:

  • Some lifting of objects up to 25lbs
  • Exposure to sun and heat for long periods of time in some positions
