Working Title:  Camps and Community Outreach Coordinator
Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for managing and implementing the Explore Summer Camps program. The position will be responsible for creating the Explore Summer Camp season through a combination of working with UWF departments, outside instructors, and creating in-house curriculum to establish camp themes. The position will also coordinate and assist with other Continuing Education Community Outreach programs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in curriculum development specifically in STEM, classroom management, and program management.
Experience being directly responsible for youth in a classroom or camp setting.
Self-starter and strong time management skills.
Comfortable working in a team environment and willing to share knowledge, give advice, and act as a leader to youth and camp staff.
Essential Functions / Job Duties:
  • 40% - Strategically plans, coordinates, and manages Explore Camps program and all youth programs. Coordination and management tasks include purchasing of materials, tracking enrollments and making enrollment decisions, scheduling locations on and off campus, assisting in camp staff oversight and training. Build camp season(s); manage payment plans, household information, and waitlists; create reports and emails in Continuing Education’s camp registration system. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Coordinate and assist with youth, personal enrichment, and other Continuing Education Community Outreach programs. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Create detailed, engaging camp curriculums. Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the curriculum. Create stimulating lesson plans and additional resources for K-9th grade summer camps mostly in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in addition to other themes and subjects. Collect feedback from campers and instructors and make relevant changes. Contribute to Explore Camps social media through creation of videos and activities. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Create and teach year-round Explore Camps for fall and spring break camps. Act as camp substitute when necessary during summer. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Provide student-centered support services for non-credit programs offered through Continuing Education. Answer inquiries about Explore Summer Camps and other Continuing Education programs and resolve student administrative issues. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Interprets policies and procedures and implements new and improved programs. Develops new policies and procedures to ensure safety of youth attending ESC and other programs. - (Essential)
