Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Security Systems Manager the incumbent is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the campus security system with a focus on camera surveillance. This individual is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance and ensuring all installations meet the highest quality standards, while assuring a professional, safe working environment.
Job Description:
Salary: $41k - $45k

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum one-year relevant work experience to include experience with surveillance cameras
Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to read diagrams and blueprints
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in computer networking or electronics
Experience in higher education or educational environment
Experience with Axis cameras and device managers
Experience with Honeywell Digital Video Manager for Cameras and Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator for Security Systems.
Experience with eMaint CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) work order systems
Job Duties Outlined:
Ensure all equipment is installed per plans and specifications to include equipment placement, mounting, system cabling, etc. in accordance with system diagrams
Install, assemble, and configure required hardware and software on client computers to access surveillance systems
Configures operating systems and software
Assists with planning, research, recommendation, and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems
Inspect, assess (diagnose), and repair malfunctioning and/or damaged equipment
Instruct staff in use and care of equipment
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and sit.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Will frequently be required to use ladders (6-12 ft) and occasional Boom truck lift
