Job Description

Salary:

$3,392.67 - $6,300.67 per month commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting on projects related to business support services. This will include, but not limited to, procurement, contract administration and HUB responsibilities. 


Responsibilities:
- Assist with procurement functions to include the processing of requisitions with the appropriate supporting documentation for approval and placement of orders while ensuring the procurement process is compliant with State of Texas statutes and A&M System policies, regulations and rules.
- Assist the Executive Director and Assistant Director on projects related to all areas within business support services.
- Assist with Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) advocacy and HUB good faith effort activities as needed and/or required to meet applicable policies, regulations and rules.
- Assist the Executive Director and Assistant Director with support and training needed to System office staff and other System members in the utilization of the eProcurement system.
- Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including project coordination, accounting, purchasing and/or procurement.

Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
- Certified Texas Contract Developer {CTCD) or complete certification within 1 year of hire.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational, customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to prioritize and handle confidential/time sensitive matters.

- Ability to record, reconcile and analyze financial information.

- Advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheets.

- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience within The Texas A&M University System. 
- Experience with university or governmental agency fiscal and purchasing procedures.
