| Job Details | Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Buyer in the Office of Procurement. The Buyer is a professional responsible for performing routine procurement activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year experience in Procurement or Supply Chain management or Associate’s degree, preferably in Business or in a related field, and at least three (3) years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain management are required. Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or in a related field is preferred. Experience in public procurement or higher education environment, experience using ERP or eProcurement software and intermediate knowledge of Excel and data analysis are also preferred. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Obtain quotes for goods and services in accordance with established thresholds and competition requirements. · Assist departments in developing specifications and scopes of work that are clear, vendor-neutral, and aligned with business needs. · Support vendor onboarding, coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or missing information in vendor records, and resolve routine issues related to orders, invoices, or deliveries. · Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors and pricing benchmarks, review data and create Excel (or similar software) analyses. Procurement Specialist I (AC10/61122233/FTE-S01154P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN07 . Salary range: $47,000.00- $50,000.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Occasional one-day and overnight travel for training and seminars. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
