Position Description:

Provide financial and human resources support and oversight to the College of Business.  Manage Human Resources and payroll activities for the College of Business.  Initiate, monitor and review financial transactions for allowability, appropriateness and compliance with University and College policies and best practices.  Act as the liaison between the College of Business and Central units. Serve as a resource for faculty and staff within the College on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process for staff and temporary positions within the College, by monitoring positions throughout development, approval, advertisement, committee review, selection processes and onboarding.  Provide support to hiring managers and committees and ensure compliance with College and University processes and procedures. 
  • Process documents for payroll actions within the College such as Costing, Job Changes, Additional Pay and Onboarding.
  • Monitor and verify payroll transactions from entry to completion for the College.  Verify payment activity.  Audit payroll activity reports and proactively work with appropriate offices to identify and resolve issues. 
  • Maintain financial records and documentation for all payroll activities within the College.
  • Monitor and review financial transactions for allowability, appropriateness and compliance with University policies and best practices.
  • Track and review budget to actual expenses and encumbrances for accuracy and completeness on a monthly basis and proactively make corrections as necessary. Enter encumbrances and monitor budget needs and availability.
  • Work closely with UBM Sr. and Associate Dean to maintain position descriptions, budgets and organizational charts and initiate entry, review, and approval processes according to best practices and University guidelines.
  • Coordinate funding, scholarship and payments for graduate and student assistants. Process scholarship request and serve as a liaison with Financial Aid Office.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation for gift and endowment spending, ensure compliance with fund restrictions and provide reports as requested.
  • Prepare periodic reports related to personnel and financial activities within the College.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Target Compensation Maximum: $77,600

Target Compensation Minimum: $51,700

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
