The Honors College at East Carolina University is a diverse intellectual community for academically talented students of strong character. Job Duties
The Business Services Coordinator for the ECU Honors College oversees and directs the business operations of the department in a manner that best facilitates and complements the Dean’s leadership and objectives.  This position reports directly to the Dean of the Honors College.
 
The Business Services Coordinator is responsible for the development, management, execution, and coordination of a variety of business, finance, human resource, and administrative functions. The individual in this position will use a thorough understanding of accounting, budget management, human resources, and supervisory principles to perform these job functions successfully.  This position will be expected to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision and take ownership of the functional areas of responsibility.
This position also provides a broad range of duties intended to support the overall coordination and delivery of the Honors College, the Truist Leadership Center, and the Innovation Design Lab. This includes answering the dean’s phone, sorting and distributing the dean’s mail, managing the dean’s calendar, scheduling and preparing for meetings (room setup, equipment, and materials), and serving as recording secretary for the dean, other Honors College staff (HC Advancement Council), and the Truist Leadership Center. This position maintains the dean’s filing system. This position makes travel arrangements for the dean and the Honors College staff and students, the Truist Leadership Center Director and the IDL director. This position supervises student workers in the dean’s office and the Administrative Support Associate. The Business Services Coordinator will use knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and information systems in order to communicate and process information. This position’s duties also include, but not limited to, leadership roles in program coordination, program marketing, customer service, budget management, event planning, report writing, summarizing and reconciling information or financial data, records and facilities management, personnel administration, course instructor arrangements, communications, technology support, facilities support, and website. 
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
