Guided by caring peers, staff and faculty, and in collaboration with the campus community, the ASC’s programs (Academic Learning Resources , Academic Policy , and Academic Advocacy ) empower students to identify and engage with learning resources and to develop skills and strategies for success in their academic journey and beyond. |

Position Overview: |
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a Business Services Specialist in the Academic Success Center. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost and Assistant Dean (AVPAD), the incumbent will be responsible for managing the administrative infrastructure (i.e., accounting, procurement, grants and contracts, accounts payable, human resources, payroll, finance and budget and facilities management functions) of the Academic Success Center, a unit within the Division of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. The incumbent will also be responsible for, evaluating and streamlining existing administrative processes and procedures to increase efficiency, facilitate highly responsive support working with the ASC Team to promote excellence in the operations of the center. |

The Business Services Specialist will be responsible for managing the following activities and providing exceptional administrative support as requested by the Academic Success Center Team to ensure successful operations of the Academic Success Center and that work meets established standards of quantity or quality.
