Posting Summary | Provide business operations support for the Department of Student Life and Davis Center Operations & Events. Assist with purchasing processes to include credit card reconciliation and audit, contracting, requisitions and purchase orders. Provide financial reporting and perform reconciliations. Process departmental revenue and billing. Assist with HR processes. Conduct annual space inventory process and assist with equipment inventory tracking needs. Serve as a liaison to central administrative departments. Advise and train staff on procedures, policies, and compliance matters. Monitor processes and transactions with consideration for efficiency and responsible resource utilization. Exercise sound judgment and discretion in management of confidential information. Participate in creating a welcoming and inclusive multicultural environment. |
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Associate’s degree and one to three years of business support, accounting, human resources, or other relevant experience. Proficient using productivity software including Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, with intermediate ability in Excel. Working knowledge of software applications to support business operations. Effective communications skills. Strong planning and organizational skills; attention to detail with high level of accuracy; ability to prioritize effectively. Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and maintain workplace confidentiality. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required. |
Desirable Qualifications | Experience using PeopleSoft. Experience working in a higher education setting and familiarity with university policies and procedures desired. |
Anticipated Pay Range | $23.59-$26.67 |

Special Conditions | Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position, Open to current UVM employees only , This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy |
