The Inter-University Council of Ohio (IUC) was established in 1939 as a voluntary educational association of Ohio’s public universities. Today the association represents Ohio’s 14 public universities. Together, these institutions offer a broad range of associate, baccalaureate, graduate, and professional programs. The association’s purpose is to facilitate the development of common interest and concern of its members and to assist in sustaining and improving the quality of public higher education. IUC also engages in public relations, research and government liaison work on behalf of its members.

Since 1994, 13 of the 14 IUC Universities have purchased their group property and casualty insurance on a group basis. The IUC- Insurance Consortium formalized their pooling in 2006 and created the Board of Governors and operates under the guidance of an Executive Director. The IUC-IC is a  non-profit entity, managing the insurance and risk management needs for 13 state universities under the group name IUC Risk Management and Insurance Consortium (IUC-RMIC), managing a pooled insurance environment among the members, as well as facilitating many group placements for multiple lines of insurance coverage, and other duties as may be assigned

Oversees and manages all administrative functions for the IUC-RMIC including financial, administrative, governance, renewal, claims and technology activities. Primary contact for the Consortium’s various service providers. Responsible for all administrative and financial activities for the various IUC-RMIC committees. Responsible for member relations for the 13 member schools.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and at least two (2) years of experience working in an administrative capacity. Proficient in computers and other basic office technology as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience in managing websites; and willing to learn. Ability to independently organize their work and set priorities, adept at problem solving, and is able to work independently and in a collaborative group. Ability to understand and adhere to the ethical standards of working in the public entity environment.

Additional Information:

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $49,800 to $66,400 per year.
