Description:
The Physical Plant Administration at the University of Tennessee at Martin is currently accepting applications for a Business Manager position. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM with a one-hour lunch. This is a full-time position with benefits. The Business Manager oversees all accounting functions of the Physical Plant to ensure the departmental managers stay within budget. This position also provides leadership to our staff on our work order system, payroll, accounts payable, facilities data, budgets, and policies.

Job duties include:
•    Budget duties include preparation of next year’s budget, reconciliation of ledgers, and preparing the budget revisions and/or transfer vouchers.
•    Responsible for the Facilities Survey in IRIS each fiscal year as well as the Facilities Database in Planon / Archibus / IRIS.
•    This position is the administrator of TMA software for work orders, projects, and utilities.
•    Annually review Schedule D and prepare Schedule B for Utilities annually. As requested, prepare reports for SACS, Transportation Services, Warehouse, the Chancellor, and Board of Trustees.
•    Oversees Equipment Inventory annually.

Required Qualifications:
•    Required bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two-three year’s experience in a related University setting.
•    Strong computer background with skills in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Knowledge of work order system (TMA) and the financial system (IRIS/DASH). One should have skills needed for Archibus/Planon. Effective human resource skills to meet and communicate with university personnel and others outside the university.
•    Preferred master’s degree in a relevant field and five year’s experience in a related University setting.
