Job Summary:

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Marist College is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the program’s business manager. The individual will work closely with the Director of the Program on the day-to-day operations of the program. The individual must be able to effectively communicate and exhibit collaborative management skills in a team-oriented environment with responsibilities in multiple facets of the program’s operations, especially pertaining to fiscal duties. This full-time 12-month position

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in business or medical office

Essential Functions:

  • Perform administrative duties for daily operation of program: office support (phone, copy/scan, filing), planning and scheduling program’s meetings and events, coordinating candidate interview schedules, onboarding new faculty, staff, students, etc., serve as the point of contact for all outside inquires, resolve administrative issues by coordinating with appropriate sources to identify solutions and collaboratively implement resolutions, maintain computer equipment and maintain inventory of office equipment and supplies.
  • Manage financial accounts: prepare and track payments and expenses, and subsequent reconciliation reports, maintain budgeting of various accounts, research, price and procure equipment and supplies, responsible for purchasing department equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in creation of operational and accreditation reports: compose briefs and presentations, coordinate drafting, editing, and submission of accreditation reports.
  • Assist management team and program’s staff: maintain calendars to schedule and coordinate meetings (internal and external), coordinate travel arrangements, support efforts to improve the quality of the program, prepare and disseminate agendas, compile, transcribe, and distribute meeting minutes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 5 years' business or medical office experience with financial management experience
  • Proficiency in MS software

    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

About the Department/School:

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is a full-time, 115-credit program designed to prepare students for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and successful careers as doctors of physical therapy. The program consists of 36 months of didactic and clinical work. The DPT facility is self-contained with a high-tech classrooms, physical therapy lab, movement analysis lab, and a suite of simulation labs, including trauma, surgery, and traditional examination rooms. In addition, the facility has a full gross anatomy laboratory that supports the learning experience.
