Summary of Duties

The Business Manager serves as the fiscal officer and senior accountant for the Student Life Facility Management and Logistics area; supervises all fiscal staff within area of support; directs and provides oversight for administrative and operational processes; manages day-to-day fiscal operations and conducts meeting as necessary; develops short and long term goals, objectives and strategies; maintains an operational environment that meets compliance standards within unit, Student Life, the university and State/Federal regulations; oversees annual budget process for areas within scope; consults with individuals providing guidance to help support department needs; evaluates effectiveness of services through ongoing quality improvement methods; establishes and monitors benchmark information and metrics; participates in Student Life and University committees as appointed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; extensive knowledge of accounting principles and applications; 1 to 3 years of business management experience, including supervisory experience; 3 to 5 years of experience with organizational budgets, accounting systems, reporting, and analysis; good oral and written communication skills; must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; 1 to 3 years customer service experience; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and the Web.

Desired Qualifications

Master of Business Administration (MBA); working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Brio reporting.

Target Salary $76,000.00 - $86,000.00 Annually
