Our Advancement & Partnerships Division is seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist II to join our team.

As the Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist II, you'll be at the at the forefront of advancing our mission by leveraging data and technology to support institution-wide strategic initiatives, develop, document and implement departmental and organizational priority projects, and identify crucial process improvements.

Position is open to remote work. 

Responsibilities:

Business Process Documentation:

  • Understand UCF Advancement's data and technical ecosystem.

  • Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Document business rules and complex processes.

  • Create and maintain end-user documentation.

  • Ensure consistency in standards across reports and systems.

Report and dashboard creation:

  • Collaborate with business experts to develop reporting tools and queries to meet divisional team needs.

  • Create, edit and update reports and dashboards based on business needs, often from technical specifications.

  • Develop clear visualizations of workflows, process flows, and use-cases.

Testing and Data Validation:

  • Quality control reporting projects and deliverables to ensure functional business needs are met. 

  • Validate data during migration and updates.

  • Test technical and functional business needs for new tools and applications and ensure documentation is updated throughout the process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or experience in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or similar roles.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong understanding of SQL and database management.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Enthusiasm for staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $62,334 - $74,940. 

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
