The Opportunity:

The Reliability and Logistics department at UCF is actively recruiting a qualified Business Data Analyst II. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing, implementation, and sustainment of the data, reporting, and analytics of the Space Management and Lease modules for the Facilities and Business Operations Integrated Work Management System (IWMS). This position will use analytical tools and resources to identify opportunities, make recommendations for improvements, and facilitate change as directed by management. This position will also support day-to-day activities for operational excellence supporting all IWMS modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, develop, test, implement, and sustain data, reporting, and analytics including Work Management, Asset Management, Space and Occupancy Management, Construction Projects, Lease Management, Financial and Business Operations.

  • Support day-to-day activities for operational excellence across all IWMS modules.

  • Maintain data integrity and perform daily updates for the IWMS in all database instances.

  • Provide end-user training, develop training documentation, and assist with process flow implementation.

  • Collaborate with Database/Application Manager on workflow enhancements and troubleshoot issues.

  • Manage reports and data analysis tools using BIRT, PowerBI, SQL query, REST API, JSON JavaScript and other reporting tools.

  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators for departmental aspects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) . 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in BIRT, PowerBI, SQL query, REST API, JSON JavaScript, and other reporting tools.

  • Experience in statistical analysis.

  • Strong communication skills for conveying analytical results.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
