Job Description

The Business Coordinator II, provides staff support for the full range of business activities including travel and leave requests in Concur, processing of travel expense reports and employee reimbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other miscellaneous business functions. Requires a broad general knowledge of business procedures. Provides travel-related information to the unit and assists with specialized business tasks as assigned by the business administrator. Performs related duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as departmental/division travel coordinator for TAMU and TEES travel to include review of requests in Concur for submission by the traveler, preparation and submission of expense reports, maintenance/oversight of individual travel cards, processing of rental car direct bill and interacting with faculty, staff and students on travel-related issues and discussion of account balances, expenditure and budget restrictions and guidelines prior to submission of travel, and investigates errors on transactions and recommends appropriate corrective action. Stays current with travel policies and procedures and communicates changes to departmental personnel.
  • Assists with processing of accounts payables and receivable in AggieBuy and entry in IMS.
  • Serves as liaison to TAMU Financial Management Office and TEES Fiscal on travel/purchasing-related items and other duties as required/assigned.
  • Maintains and issues travel cards to staff and students pre and post travel.
  • Utilizes the purchasing card for departmental internet orders.
  • Serves as backup for Ipayments, DCR’s, DBR’s, and payment card charges allocations in Concur.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Three years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations.
