Purpose

The Business Analyst will be the recruiting and admissions point person for mapping out Slate/Salesforce improvements, business process improvements, and will be the point of contact between the recruiting and admissions team and the McCombs IT team.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with the MBA Admissions team to support business activities and processes as the Salesforce/Blackthorn subject matter expert. Evaluate business processes to understand how to best leverage Salesforce technology and regularly collaborate with the School’s Salesforce team on decisions that impact MBA Admissions processes.

  • Build reports and analyze data to assist the Director in decision making. Assesses and produces relevant, standard, or custom reports showing business solutions tailored to new trends, demands and concepts. Serves as a resource for non-routine inquiries such as requests for statistics or surveys. Collaborates with Director to standardize and systemize routine reports, dashboards, and metrics.

  • Provide technology expertise and support in the development, management, and usage of systems, databases, electronic communications, reports, and data used by Recruiting and Admissions team in order to recruit, admit, and enroll students. Lead cycle prep for our portfolio of MBA programs when we start a new recruiting and admissions cycle.

  • Responsible for working with recruiting and admissions to understand their automation needs. Analyze and document the requirements, workflows, rules and processes necessary to automate solutions.

  • Provide technical and data-related service, support and training to the Recruiting and Admissions team related to records management, data retention, reading online applications, communications, form building, and event management. Leads the implementation of data standards and common data elements for data collection. Determines and recommends additional data collection and reporting requirements.

  • Test prototype software and participate in approval and release process for new software enhancements.

  • Other related function as assigned. 


Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree. 

  • Two years of business analyst experience 

  • Ability to work successfully with little supervision. 

  • Strong attention to detail and previous success managing multiple competing priorities in a high-pressure environment. 

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) with a service-oriented attitude. 

  • Works well in a team environment. 

  • attention to detail. 

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce administration certification 

  • FormAssembly experience 

  • Experience Cloud experience 

  • Five years of business analyst experience 

  • Experience working in higher education 




Salary Range

$55,000 - $60,000 + depending on qualifications


Working Conditions

  • Working in a standard office with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

  • This is an Austin, TX-based position and is eligible for hybrid work.

  • Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with nights and weekend work when needed.
