The Spectrum Office at Georgia State University is looking for a Business Analyst to provide analysis, development and support for Financial and HR Applications of the University using PeopleSoft, Oracle, and SciQuest/Jaggaer. All systems are web-based. These applications are used to enhance the University’s business processes, provide summarized and detailed data that is easily accessible through inquiries, queries and reports, and maintain a reliable and secure database.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position develops programs and reports for financial and HR systems to support data-informed decision making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Work on resolving help desk tickets assigned to the team.
- Assists in devising and maintaining a plan of operation that will facilitate the efficient functioning of our PeopleSoft Financial & HR Applications.
- Performs coding, data collection and analysis on requests for the systems supported by the Spectrum Office.
- Participate in discussion groups to recommend design improvement.
- Responsible for system enhancements, documentation and establishes protocols to assure data integrity.
- Responsible for coding, testing and updating new patches and systems as required.
- Maintain Security and Workflow for PeopleSoft Financials, HCM and/or SciQuest applications.
- Assists with training and work on resolving help desk tickets assigned to the team.
Qualifications
:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Information technology and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or a comparable product.
- Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Experience in using databases, particularly Oracle and SQL developer.
- Experience in developing applications, reports and queries in PeopleSoft.
- Experience with end user support.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft development tools like SQR and Application Designer.

- Strong problem-solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
