Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Analyst/Report Writer for University Enrollment Services. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Information Technology, the incumbent will join a growing team responsible for business process analysis to continuously improve enterprise admissions applications utilized by University Enrollment Services-UES and external department staff and faculty such as the Student Information System-SIS and Customer Relationship Management-CRM system. The position requires gaining an understanding of the technical architecture, data dictionary, and integrations between the enterprise systems.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Tasks include interfacing with business end- users to understand their challenges, translating the challenges into business requirements, implementing enhancements to the systems, executing test plans to ensure solutions meet the business need, and using analytics to identify trends.
  • Data activities include creating reports for end users to consume via self-service portals, trend analysis using SQL queries, and assisting with data loads as needed (e.g. archival, end of cycle reconciliation).
  • The incumbent works closely with OIT and UES Admissions to implement changes to systems and escalate issues as appropriate to ensure excellent service to our staff and students.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with and supporting complex, enterprise-wide systems, including CRM and SIS platforms.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to write SQL queries and have some experience creating accurate reports using a BI or other reporting tool.
  • Proficiency in using O365 applications to assist with documentation (OneNote/Word), data analysis (Excel), and process workflow design (Visio).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certification(s).
  • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle products.
  • Basic understanding of Enterprise Content Management systems (ECM) such as ImageNow/Perceptive Content. Working knowledge of scripting and/or light coding.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in an enrollment management office .

  • The department utilizes software including but not limited to mainframe systems, O365, Salesforce, Tableau, Perceptive Content, SQL Server, and Oracle Cloud/Database.

Immunization Requirements
