Job Description

The Business Center North (BCN) Purchasing Department is the unit charged by Board of Regents policy to conduct all purchases of goods and services for the five BCN institutions:  Desert Research Institute, Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College, the University of Nevada, Reno and Western Nevada College as well as the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) System Offices. 

The Business Analyst, Purchasing works with information systems and supports Business Center North procurement functions. This position provides technical and functional support of the procure to pay and travel and expense modules of Workday on behalf of BCN, which includes leadership in system-wide functional user groups, configuration support, business process improvement, and testing and troubleshooting of issues. This position will lead configuration changes necessary due to business process improvements, policy updates or Workday updates from analysis to testing to implementation. They will also provide and present analytics to procurement staff to support process optimization and customer service levels to campuses.

This position will also support the reporting needs of central staff and campus end users and will develop training and support documentation for the functional areas it supports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.

Related Experience: working in an analytical role supporting functional and/or technical areas.

Schedule and Travel Requirements

Occasional nights and weekends may be required.
