Business Analyst

Summary

Responsible for documenting and analyzing business processes under consideration for reengineering and supports the processing of the NSC/NSLDS student record reporting.  Works closely with the Assistant Registrar for System and Records in the management of development projects in conjunction with ITS and constituent stakeholders.  Coordinates and/or performs all responsibilities within development projects including development of functional specifications, risk assessment, scheduling and attendance at meetings to refine process and development, user acceptance testing, documentation of process, training and production support.


Essential Functions

  • Meets with Assistant Registrar to receive assignments and provide updates as to project status
  • Meets with stakeholders and ITS to develop scope of projects and receive direction as to functional specifications; updates stakeholders as to project status; coordinates final approval of business process and associated development
  • Creates report submissions of student records to NSC/NSLDS
  • Documents business processes, changes to processes, and decisions associated with projects and development
  • Trains users on new pieces of development and/or new business processes
  • Performs standard user acceptance testing as a part of bundle releases, system upgrades, assigned projects, and/or other system initiatives
  • Provides data and/or analysis of data from various student information related systems
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

The following Degree is required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree must be conferred at the time of application. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.  
The following Experience is required:
  • 1 year of experience with managing data and/or systems

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft student system preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects

Position Schedule:  Full-time position is a flexible/hybrid  work schedule.
Work location:  Huntington Building, 1851 North Research Drive, Bowling Green, Ohio.
