Job Description

Serves as the liaison between functional users, project team members, and business and the technology organizations. Relied on to review, analyze, elicit and record functional requirements and technical specifications. Responsible for developing and verifying test plans, participating in designing solutions, and working with technical teams to develop, implement and evaluate technology solutions that add the most value to the organization. Reviews, analyzes, implements, and evaluates business systems and user needs for Salesforce team and customers and other systems.

Essential Duties

  • Elicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
  • Facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas
  • Employs approved project methods, standards and processes to decrease total cost of ownership by harnessing best practices.
  • Applies approved project methods, standards and processes to reduce total cost of ownership by applying best practices. 
  • Functions as liaison between the functional unit, project team, and the technology support units.
  • Creates and presents business process documentation.
  • Consults with customers to produce needs and requirements, working with technical teams to develop, integrate, and test, to ensure solution addresses the customer’s business needs. 
  • Provides knowledge in software testing design and coordinates & verifies testing performances.
  • May involve managing projects, and maintaining implementation plans, setting customer expectations, frequent status reports with customers and technical teams.
  • Creates training documentation and supports customers in learning how to use and understand the solutions.
  • Supports functional users in developing reports. 
  • Supports end-user through on-call support and problem resolution, as needed.
  • Takes responsibility for fostering culture, advancing our values, and championing engagement in all its forms -- collaborating across our teams as well as participating in ET/ASU events and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of experience in procedural, management or systems analysis work; OR, Six (6) years of experience in procedural, management, or systems analysis work; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/ or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.


Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Familiarity and experience working with higher education systems (example: PeopleSoft) and their business processes.
  • Business Analyst certification (example: IIBA)
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar certification
  • Experience analyzing complex processes and creating process maps

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
