Business Administrator (Physical Therapy)

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily financial reporting and analysis of the Department of Physical Therapy within the School of Health Professions. Assists in all fiscal activities including account reconciliation, budget planning, expenditure approval, procurement, financial reporting, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds. Provides support in the following: human resource management, pre and post-research grant management, marketing, admissions processing, and operations planning. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Prepares monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Makes recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
  • Oversees monthly account balancing, reconciliations and records management for department specific accounts.
  • Researches and analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure appropriate recording; analyzes all prepaid expenses and encumbrances, and prepares regular reports; responsible for general ledger.
  • Tracks and updates faculty clinical, administrative, education, grant-committed time, and salary and incentive information.
  • Assists with effort reporting, FTE and time card accountability.
  • Assists with preparation and development of the annual budget.
  • Hires, supervises, mentors, evaluates and assigns work to staff.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or directly related field is required.

     

    Experience:

    Four (4) years related accounting or business experience is required.

     

    Preferred:

    Master’s degree

     

    Supervisory Requirements:

    Has the authority to direct the work of others, hire or fire employees, or provide recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of other employee.
