The Business Administrator II under general supervision, manages the full range of business activities, including reviewing and approving business documents and developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts, budgets and other quantitative data. This position is NOT located in the United States. One must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.




Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Six years of related experience in a general office, accounting, or personnel operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

  • FAMIS Experience

Preferred Experience:

  • TAMU and/or TAMU Qatar payroll, business or hiring experience

  • Experience working with or developing Laserfiche forms

  • Excel Proficiency

Responsibilities:

  • Account & Bank Reconciliations - Ensures all account and bank reconciliations are completed monthly and all necessary corrections are processed in a timely manner. Manages the TAMUQ Request for Payment System.

  • Account Monitoring & Reporting - Responsible for monitoring and reporting financial activity for all TAMUQ academic and operational units. Performs monthly and ad-hoc reporting on TEES and TAMU accounts including distributing and maintaining ~200 monthly financial reporting instances. Processes DBRs and DCRs as needed to ensure proper use of funds.

  • Departmental Process & Procedures - Identifies business-related needs and problems and proposes solutions. Implements and audits business procedures and trains staff on new and existing procedures. Provides advice on administrative and fiscal procedures.

  • Management & Supervision - Manages personnel activities including preparing position analyses, updating position descriptions, and developing employment offers. Communicates with employees regarding personnel policies and procedures and identifies training needs.

  • Compliance & Communications - Responsible for the interpretation and dissemination of information regarding policies, procedures, and controls to be used in business and financial activities by providing adhoc reporting. Ensures compliance with federal, state, TAMUS, TAMUQ and QF rules and regulations. Prepares reports, analysis, and surveys for the Director. Performs other duties as assigned.
