Position Information
The Office of Student Experience and Engagement invites resumes for a twelve month, full-time, exempt, contractual position with limited benefits. The position will report to the Executive Director of Student Experience and Engagement.
The Building Manager maintains security of the building on week nights and weekends; confers with representatives of students, faculty, alumni and other appropriate campus and outside groups to plan for the use of various facilities in the Student Center. Administers and supervises services such as the information center, student lounges, multipurpose rooms, theatre, game area, student offices, etc. to ensure the efficient and proper use of the Student Services Center as an important educational resource of the university.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise student staff; serve as a resource to other major agencies and departments on campus.
  • Interact with building tenants, managers, and events sponsors.
  • Routinely inspect physical conditions of the facility.
  • Open and secure the facility; arrange room set-up and clean-up.
  • Supervise and manage game room and student center days, evenings, and weekends;
  • Direct custodial staff information services and events management.
  • Oversee scheduling and reservations system and program audio-visual equipment.
  • Write daily reports include work and repair request.
  • Maintain daily usage logs.
  • Confer with representatives of students, faculty, alumni and other appropriate campus and outside groups to make arrangements for the use of various facilities in the Student Center.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One-year experience preferably in the areas of student personnel, administration, management or a related area.
  • Computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to get along with others and work as a team.
  • General knowledge of methods, practices, production procedures.
  • Maintains security of the building on week nights and weekends.
