Perform regular building inspections to assess the cleaning level in each employee’s area of responsibility. Record and log all inspections and communicate findings with employees. Identify areas for improvement and develop corrective performance plans.
Coordinate and manage appropriate staffing levels for buildings within the assigned zone. Develop plans to accommodate reductions in staff due to planned and unplanned absences. Coordinate with other zone supervisors when necessary to ensure proper coverage for the entire campus and critical areas.
Responsible for managing employee performance including annual performance evaluations, corrective plans and actions, and timesheet management.
Ensure employees in the unit are properly protected from workplace hazards. Develop and implement PPE standards and workplace safety standards, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and State of North Carolina safety requirements.
Manage any and all special projects identified by the BES Manager.

Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Where applicable, must be eligible for required certification.
Valid Driver’s License is required.

Preferred

- 5 years of Building Environmental Services experience
- 3 years of University Building Environmental Services experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Valid NCDL required.
