Summary of Position | UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE 10 Library Way, Conant Hall 315, Durham, NH 03824 Summary: Responsible to monitor building control system functions and energy consumption for the campus and communicate system deficiencies and recommended improvements to all the appropriate stakeholders. Will also provide technical oversight for the various building control systems on campus. This position works in collaborative and cross-functional teams, as well as independently as required. Responsibilities include the following: · Monitor the various building control systems to maintain proper system operation. Review disabled points and programs. · Ensure building control system programs reflect current operational requirements. Verify building control system graphics vs. field conditions and modify accordingly. · Review all company building system operations and make recommendations for changes as appropriate. Oversee Continuous Commissioning preventive maintenance program, including Quality Assurance. Initiate work order generation across Facilities teams. · Write and maintain documentation related to building systems (sequences of operations, as-built documentation, building control system graphic changes) and communicate changes as necessary to building control system technicians, Campus Energy Manager and Facilities Construction and Renovation Guidelines. · Work closely with appropriate staff members to ensure the systems are operating as designed. Integrate and coordinate activities closely with Facilities Operations, building controls system technicians, Facilities Project Management. · Liaison with construction projects for design drawing, specification and submittal review. · Manage service contracts for building control system contractors and Analytic Software systems to optimize and enhance building systems function and building performance with a focus on building system control, occupant comfort, and energy savings. · Work with building analytics system to investigate and report on fault detection (based on energy costs, maintenance priorities and customer comfort), control system/building system deficiencies, and opportunities for energy savings. · Perform building control system administrative duties including project management, report generation, change control, and quality assurance. · May perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. One year of experience in a related occupation in the mechanical field to include experience with building control systems. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Position is located at 6 Leavitt Lane, Durham, NH 03824. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00 PM. Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year.
