The Budgeting and Reporting Senior Project Director (BRSPD) (Director-Program Operations (E S 11)) serves as the principal deputy to the Senior Director of Finance and must demonstrate superior University budgeting & financial reporting skills, business acumen, administrative judgment, and innovative ability. The BRSPD is responsible for leading all projects and carrying out high-level project management on behalf of the Senior Finance Director of the School of Medicine. In addition, the BRSPD will act as an internal consultant and subject matter expert, working with SoM departments on resolving complex financial/budgetary issues, provide guidance to the SoM Budget Director, and lead financial training sessions. Due to the high visibility of this position, this position has frequent interaction with leaders across UW Medicine including the CEO, VPs, Vice, Associate and Assistant Deans, heads of SoM administrative units, UW Medicine affiliates, as well as with relevant central University offices. Under limited direction from the Senior Director of Finance, the BRSPD has decision-making authority, and must exercise prudent judgment to maximize the use of the School's resources.
