About the Office of Equity and Community Engagement

The Office is responsible for ensuring the Mission statement is part of all aspect of the College. It is focused on building partnerships internally, with other units at USC and external community partners. The Professional Leaning unit offers certificate and credential programs as well as customized professional development for teachers, leaders & administrators in K-12, offices of education, and school leaders.

Supports all budget and administrative support to the Office of Equity and Community Engagement. This unit will help with account set up, reconciling account balances, processes budget adjustments, generates projections and monthly budget reports, paying internal and external vendor resources, manages financial transactions, and registration fees for certificate and credential programs. Prepares and processes purchase orders, requisitions, procurement card requests, consultant payments and honoraria. Manages and monitors business transactions related to discretionary, gifts and grant accounts. Works closely with asll staff to ensure we all adheres to all USC and Rossier budget rules and requirements. Reports directly to Associate Dean, Office of Equity and Community Engagement.

Other duties  may be added or modified as needed by the Associate Dean.

Preferred Education:

Certificate or degree in accounting and business practices

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge and experience in WorkDay and SAP Concur

Knowledge of USC Budget guidelines

Previous University experience in business and budget offices.

The hourly range for this position is $34.43-$38.64. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Business administration, accounting or related degree and budget experience including knowledge of government and fund accounting. Strong computer skills with use of automated spreadsheets.
